It is totally up to you whether you use your Facebook or not, but you can
earn more coins by using Facebook, as when you win a game, you have the
option to post it to your Facebook or Twitter account which results in
earned coins. You can play without purchasing anything, but many have said
that the ads can be intrusive and that paying the $2.99 is well worth it to
remove the ads. I would try playing without purhchasing anything and see
what it is like. If you find the ads to be intrusive or annoying, then
consider spending the money to clear out those ads.

I do not hear any indication of a game being a bonus game except when I
first except it or create it. If you are hearing something after it says
your turn then I want to know more about this as that would be very
helpful information. I am really at at disadvantage not knowing which
games are Bonus or not!
