I charge mine with a USB/AC charger that I got at Radio Shack. I do not recall the charger being unusually hot. I am very impressed with the battery life you get from this headset. Does yours have the talking feedback? I charged mine several days ago, and she still says “battery high” when I shut them off.

I just received my new AfterShokz Bluez today and, as recommended, I charged them. I used a standard USB charger, which I use for a lot of devices, and, also as recommended, I charged the earphones for three hours, or just a little more. When I went to unplug the headset, my charger was very warm, which I thought was rather unusual.. The headset works perfectly, however, but I was rather concerned about the warmth of my charger. It wasn't quite hot, but almost. Is this normal? I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. By the way, I purchased them from AT Guys and they are very reliable. Thanks much. I guess i have a wierd shaped head, because I need the band to get a good fit. You want the transducers to sit tightly against the bones in front of your ears to get the best fidelity, and to better protect against audio leak, even though you will get some anyway. Well, i guess they must have recently came out with a new model, because these include some spoken output. When you first turn them on, a female voice says “Power on’. When turning them on for the first time, the voice says “Pairing”. When they connect to the iPhone, the voice says "something like “Audio device connected”. When you turn them off, the voice says, at least at present, “Battery high, power off."”. It is to be noted that even when fully charged, in the iPhone status line, the phone reports “Bluetooth battery 88%”. I think that this is perhaps an issue with the way the iPhone reports on the bluetooth battery, and not with the Aftershokz.
