I can't comment on the Jawbone Up, but you might want to take a look at another product which does the same and maybe more called the "Fitbit". In addition to the sensor which comes in the form of a little dongle as well as a wristband, Fitbit also offers a bodyscale which connects to an app on your iPhone.
