Sorry, I must be dense today, but I'm not sure I understand what you're
asking. As far as I know, if you hold down the lock and home buttons for
around 10 seconds then you'll reset your iPhone. Holding these buttons
down for less than ten seconds won't do anything, as far as I know.
Holding them down for more than ten seconds, won't do anything except
maybe for interfering with the reset function, but then I'd think you'd
have to be holding them down for quite a while like 30 seconds or so.
