I don't think I'm alone on the list when I admit that I'm something of a
purest in matters of audio from my iOS devices.
Unhappily I can not afford the amazing DAC offerings from Wadia and
other high end manufacturers. I am, however, considering a less costly
DAC which will optimized the audio from my family of iOS players.
A review entitled "Good-bye Rubber Bands, Hello V-Moda Vamp Verza and
Metallo Case recently appeared at www.innerfidelity.com. This site,
which devotes itself to all matters of audio, for personal listening is
edited by Tyll Hertsens founder of Headroom, the mobile amplifier folks.
In this review he discusses a unique portable dac/amp combo which can
physically connect to an iPhone 5. Even if that's not of immediate
interest, you might want to check out the site for reviews of all manner
of audio gear for the iPhone and iOS universe. Note the site like it's
corporate sibling www.stereophile.com suffers from a remarkable lack of
navigation markup, so get ready to do some navigating by text unit.
