Always, always keep in mind that whenever using these recognition apps such as TapTapSee and alike, there are also humans helping with the recognition task. Some of these humans may not be so altruistic when it comes to the use of the information on that check including names and check numbers with addresses. This also goes for State ID cards and debit cards, etc. In other words, don't subject yourself to possible ID fraud or stolen identification just because you don't want to take a bit more time to launch your scanning software and alike.
