There may be third party apps however for the iPhone that might work for

Hello I know of the direct tv app that allows u to view streaming content
from direct tv and controlling the dvr but what about actually controling
the receiver itself eg changing hcannels and other parts of the receiver
that a sighted person would use dvr etc etc? is there sucha a alternitive
