Oops! Sorry. I forgot to say that, when the castle levels increase in
width, that goes all the way down to the bottom of the castle. So, even
though our first few levels started at being 8 wide, when we build that
first upgrade level that adds a +2 wide, but no height, that +2 wide goes
all the way down to the bottom, so now, all of our levels that had been 8
wide, and that we'd filled with shops, are now 10 wide, with a 2 wide slot
at the end. Same happens when you get to the second level I've hit that
gives us another +2 in width. All of our levels that had started at 8
wide, and that had then moved to 10 wide when we did the first width castle
upgrade, will now be 12 wide when we do the second +2 wide castle upgrade.
It was kind of cool for me, because when I built that first castle
expansion level that just increased my width by 2, but didn't add any
height, I really didn't have any shops that were 2 wide and either 1 or 2
high that I wanted to buy, so I just left it. I had lots of rows that had
been bull, which now had 2 squares at the end of them that I wasn't using.
Then, when I finally hit the second width expansion level, those rows
suddenly had 4 empty slots at the end. Since I hadn't filled them up with
the first +2 width expansion, once I got the second +2 wide expansion done,
I had 4 empty squares in a row, and I could now build some 4 high/1 wide
shops, and, in some cases, because I'd left so many of them open when I
only had 2 squares added to the end, once I finally finished the second +2
wide level, I could even build some 4 wide/2 high shops. Man that was
nice, 'cuz I needed the gold! hehe

HTH,
Amy
