It's sort of a nice feature but you do have to remember the shortcut you've
typed in. Ok, I can remember ILY for I love you because I send it to my
wife in almost every message and WTWYBH is not to bad when I want to know
what time will you be home? Those are probably the most used ones I have.
OMW seems a little much just to say on my way! <grin>
I suspect though the idea was that you could use it for very commonly used
word combinations such as in to on the, and other short phrases. I did hear
a thing about using shortcuts for every day use on line somewhere but for
the most part, I just stick with those few I mentioned.

The only way I know how to autofill anything is to create a keyboard
shortcut. You do this in settings, general, and keyboards. You will type
in the long phrase where it says phrase and then the shortcut where it
says shortcut.
