I use Feeddler RSS. I use it in conjunction with inoreader.com. It's
very accessible, has a lot of features, it's very configurable and it
allows me to handle quite a few feeds very efficiently. I compared it to
two other apps when I settled on it, but I have not compared it to lire,
but I've heard good things about lire.
