I looked at Seeing Assistant online and was a little unclear about it also. Is it a crowd sourced app such as Tap Tap See?
If the light source app uses only IPhone resources is it a standalone. If it is part of Seeing Assistant would it be subject to the 40 command per day limitation? During operation, the application generates a characteristic, continuous sound. The tone of that sound depends on light intensity - the more intense light, the higher the tone.
