This is a known issue, but what I stumble upon was a button in Settings|mail. It's called "always bcc myself." When I turned it on, I get a copy of every email I send! If I don't want it, I can delete it, like the rest of the trash! By having this button turned on though, I am assured that my emails made it to the list!
