Hi Mary

I solved my problem with amazon.com not recognizing the kindle app as having
been registered.

I'm not sure why, but after uninstalling and reinstalling the app several
times, I installed the kindle app onto my iPhone by going through amazon to
install the kindle app. Wala it now works. And amazon also recognizes the
kindle app as being installed onto my iPads.
