Hi all. Just to say some obvious things, but nonetheless they need to be
said.
Just like with the release of new iOS software, when new iPhones or
whatever are announced, the list traffic will jump a lot. Please please
please take the time if you will be asking a question, like, what colors
are the new iPhones coming in, to read the list before you ask. Chances
are, someone else has already answered that question. Try to do this
with whatever you want to ask about something which many list members
will already be talking about on list. Also, please please please make
your subject lines descriptive. if people don't care about reading about
the new things announced today, they will still want to be reading about
something else, like how do you purchase an app, so be sure to make your
subject lines descriptive. Speaking of subject lines, please please
please do not hijack a thread. If you are reading about the new iPhone
today and decide to ask when the new iOS software will come out, start a
new message and ask away, don't just erase everything after hitting
reply and change the subject to ask something totally different than the
existing thread.
One last thing to add is that I will start getting more strict and
adding people to moderation if things simple rules, unfortunately I have
to call them rules, continue to be ignored.
