As far as news, there are many accessible ones, and it is really depending
on what you are looking for.
I, personally, like two apps:
Hourly news: this app lets you choose which news agencies that you want to
get your news updates from. You have a choice from sources like, NPR, Fox
news, ABC news, CBS news, BBC news, plus more. You just start the app, and
it will give you the current news from all of the sources that you select.
And the news updates are all audio.
Breaking news: This app gives you notifications and keeps you updated on all
current news. You also can choose which sources you get your news from.
Like CNN, BBC, and so on. These news updates are not audio. You just flick
down the news one item at a time, and if there is something you want to read
the news about, then you just double tap on it, and it will take you to the
page with the full news article.
Both of these apps are demonstrated in a podcast done on Applevis.com.
