Hi Denise,
I Googled "Voiceover accessibility of the Notability app" and found one mention by somebody who I think is or used to be on this list as well, William Windels. Granted this posting is 2 years old, but at least at the time it seems Notability was not very Voiceover friendly. I suggest you simply contact the developer and ask, hopefully you will get an answer. I guess since William is providing his email address in his post you could also write to him and ask whether he kept track of this app and accessibility has improved. There seems to be no mention of this app on Applevis. I did notice the app is on version 5.something and the last update was on August 21 so at least it appears the app is well maintained. The current price of $2.99 is also a sale price as it states right at the beginning of the app description that it is 40% off which would mean the regular price is $4.99. Here is what William said 2 years ago followed by the app store link for anybody who wants to read the description, a support link is also given in the app description: Hello, notability seems a good product: writing and recording at the same time, exporting to pdf , uploding to claude services (I heard: (moving in the record by using the word in the written text on that moment)... However, it seems not very accessible with the built in screenreader for blind people: voiceover. The bluetooth keyboard isn't working properly, buttons aren't labeled very clear, the navigation with the rotor is not working very well and there are so much buttons for lay-out things. It should be possible to hide some kind of buttons so there is less information on the screen. At the moment , it's nearly useless with voiceover but I hope the developers will work on better accessibility with voiceover. If some knows better persons to contact about this, pls mail me at [email protected] Thanx alot for your readings and reactions.
