According to the demo yesterday, you can enter in a password as well. If
you care about security you would use both. As I said if you never leave
home or rarely do then you probably might not care about it. It's a choice
each of us has to make for ourselves. I personally intend to use both the
finger print reader and a secure password to protect my data and my privacy.

If you use the fingerprint Id on the ipHone, there's no need to enter a
password.

There isn't any problems with a finger print scanner. I've got one on my
HP 17.3 inch HD Laptop. To set it up, you are required to lay your right
index finger on the sensor. I don't remember if it asks you to do it 2
or if it's 3 times. Once it's excepted, your prompted to enter a
password. Then your asked to type it in again. If they match, then your
done. Then when you next open the laptop, you lay your right index
finger on the sensor plate. If the finger print is a match, you proceed
to the login screen which asks for your user name and password. If the
scanner is not reading your print, it's dirty and you need to wipe it off
but that's only if your using your computer with a big Mac in your right
hand and make a mess on your fingers and touch the finger print reader.
I can't think of any other way Apple would do it. And, I can almost
guarantee you that you can disable that in settings. When I'm at home, I
turn the finger print scanner off. I would think Apple has this option
too. When you turn it back on, the next time you power up you'll need to
lay your finger on the finger print reader. If you never leave home, you
probably wouldn't be interested in using such a feature. On the other
hand, if your active as I am, you'll probably welcome the greater
security.

For me the fingerprint feature might just be the best new feature.

The 5 s has a 64 bit processor and a slightly better camera than the 5.
It also has the finger print scanner though I would be very hesitant to
use that. The 5 c in basically a plastic version of the iphone 5.

I've seen lots of posts about the purchase of these phones, but haven't
seen
any posts about the features offered. What is the difference between
the
two? I now have the 4S, and was planning on upgrading to the 5, with
the
hopes that one would be offered at a less expensive price. Someone
mentioned the 5 will be no longer available?
