I've heard from several people that VoiceOver users won't be able to get
much out of IOS 7 because it's focus is on the visual aspect. Although
that is a focus, there seems to be a lot in IOS 7 that we'll be able to
take advantage of. In fact, when I look at
http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/ I see very few features that we
won't benefit from.
* The Control Center.
* The Notification Center, and it's new views.
* The improvements to multitasking and anticipating what apps I'll be
using next.
* More efficient use of battery power, such as when schedules are being
updated.
* The camera, video and filter improvements, which I probably won't be
taking advantage of much myself.
* Air Drop, which I think is a truly big deal.
* Not all of the Safari changes may not be beneficial to VoiceOver
users, but the new interface to the tabs, the iCloud key chain, the
smart URL/search bar all seem like we'd benefit from those changes.
* iTunes Radio
* All of the new Siri improvements.
* The App Store updates including automatic updates.
* Security improvements.
* I'm not sure how much this will help blind users, but as a passenger,
I can see myself using some of the new integration features with IOS in
your car.
* I don't see why we wouldn't be able to take advantage of the IOS at
work features.
