You will be able to upgrade to iOS 7 on your 4S without any issues and it
will run well. Even the iPhone 4 gets iOS 7 (some features of course will
be
missing since things like Airdrop, for example, require hardware the 4
and
4S don't have), but Rob from the Today in iOS podcast has already
confirmed
that his iPhone 4 runs iOS 7 at least as well as it did iOS 6.

I remember last year how Mike was so jazzed to get an iPhone 5. I had
the
same excitement when I selected the iPhone 5 as my first cell phone on
December 21. I can't wait to examine the validated specifications. If
they
have doubled the processor speed, apps will be able to do a lot more.

me, the big change is with iOS7. There are so many new functions I am
looking forward to. The most important one to me is the stolen iPhone
app.
In the last two days, two Chicago police officers were jumped, beaten and
robbed in two separate incidents in my neighborhood. Apparently, they
weren't carrying their firearm. I keep my iPhone discretely out of
public
view to avoid being a crime victim.
