Wow! I see. I remember Viber sounding exactly the same. So this is why. It's all digitally processed at both ends.

Good evening all.
Just had a lovely FaceTime call. But have a question.
Why does it sound so much better than a regular landline or cellular call?
Is it because it's all done over wifi and is using the excellent microphone
on the iPhone? Sorry if this sounds a stupid question, but I am considering
using FaceTime because despite my hearing impairment I can really hear the
person, whereas a regular landline or cellular call is good, but cannot
always make out what they are saying, especially if the words use letters
that are high in pitch, such as s.
