Oh wait, I just thought of something... Since one has to use the rotor to 
select this handwriting mode, this is probably how Apple worked around the 
possibility of mistaking the strokes necessary to write a letter "T" from an 
IOS swiping gesture. In other words, it is the Rotor that tells IOS to 
ignore finger strokes and not think of them as gestures.

I can see some characters posing a problem as they aren't a single gesture,
so the intermediate steps could be seen as flicks and swipes and taps...
take i for example, or t.

This is a neat feature since people won't be able to hear our
