If you have a passcode set then a three finger swipe to the right will
bring up the numeric keypad.
Just a thought, but if you're not sure about how something works or what
the answer is to a question, you could just pass on it and let someone
else weigh in.

Actually the pass code always existed. You need to tap right on the
button instead of anywhere like before. It's not a big deal once you
get used to it.
