I don't have anything to help, but wanted to echo how bad the new visual design is for me. I have RP and could do about 75% of what I needed to do with magnification and viaually on iOS 6. Now, nearly nothing. I can't even see individual keys on the keyboard. Wow, this is a huge step backward for low vision users.
Thank goodness for VoiceOver, but truth be told, I am doing lots of searching and research of other options like Android because I am in need of a new phone. I think iOS is not an option in current state.
