I had US English as my default; flick right and you should hear something
about high quality button; double tap it and the voice downloads and starts
up automatically.

I found the same thing. Where did you find the high quollidey us voice? I
had to do the same thing except that I didn't switch back to us english from

A very strange thing happened to cSamantha. When it downloaded, the voice
was very, very muffled. I went to languages and dialects under settings, and
I saw a button that said high-quality voice. However, when I tried to
activate it, it would not download. I had to download the high-quality
Australian voice. Then I asked for U.S. again and when I tapped on
high-quality voice it worked! Thank goodness! Could not have heard the
downloaded voice at all.
