Hi Fanus, You have to find where it says "Send Message", tap on that and the Messages app will open and then you can swipe to the message field and type your message.
Alternatively, you can open the Messages app, tap on Compose at the top left, then start typing somebody's name and if that person is in your Contacts you will find them in a list which progressively gets smaller the more you type, you can double tap on any name in that search results list to enter that person as the recipient and then type your message and send it.
