This is all very well, but when I want it to tell me whether my desk is level, and it says -2 degrees, is my desk sloping to m y left or right? I'm sure this is perfectly obvious visually, but doesn't make a lot of sense in voiceover. Wow A spirit level tells you when something is level. If you lay your iPhone on it's long edge with the screen facing you, you get a horizontal level. If you hold the long edge of your iPhone against a wall, you're checking vertical level. And, if you lay your iphone on a table with the screen facing up, you are using a plane level. With any of these, your iPhone will tell you the amount of degrees that your phone is off of horizontal, vertical level, or plane level. So, let's say I place it on a picture frame, on edge, with the screen facing me, and the level running. I can adust the frame until the iPhone level tells me that it's at zero degrees. This would tell me that the picture frame is level. Do the same on shelving to check level from side to side, or from front to back.
