I read something about triple tapping to move back or forward by 5 seconds.
I haven't tried it yet though to be sure.

One tiny problem I've seen so far is that the jumping back and forth by
phrase isn't as granular as it is on by digital talking book machine.
It's actually jumping by chapter. Double tapping and holding on the jump
by chapter or phrase button isn't jumping by increments of 5. It just
jumps one chapter and stops. Maybe it's this particular book, or I need
to clean out some memory or restart the app/iPhone. I'll play around
with it, and if it persists, I'll let NLS know.
I agree with everyone else though. This is a pretty sweet app, and the
little problem I've noticed doesn't do anything to take away from my
opinion.

Here are some Bard Mobile app commands taken from chapter 6 of in-app
help
file:
2-finger double-tap anywhere on screen to pause then 2-finger double-tap
anywhere on screen to play
If you slide your finger up from Home button about 1 inch you will
find the
Play button. At this point you can swipe once left for Rewind button or
swipe right once for Forward button. Double-tap on each of these
buttons to
execute their respective actions (forwards and rewinds by 5 seconds).
Triple tap on forward or rewind button to move by 20 second increments.
If you double-tap on the "Bookshelf tab" you can swipe until you find the
Bard Mobile User Guide. Double-tap to open. In section 6 "Now reading
audio"
there is information on how to control playback and such.
Though this is an amazingly well constructed app, I do wish there were
some
gesture controls for forward and rewind as well as gestures for
controlling
playback speed. <Smile>.

I used my iPod and launched the apps store > search.
I searched for the following:

During installation you will be asked to confirm your agreement to a

You will be asked for your NLS email address and password.
I gotta say, from what I have experimented with so far, they did a
kick A**
job with this app. I was really curious as to what they did with the
tempo
of playback, and judging from the book I downloaded to my iPod, the
speed of
playback goes up to 300% which should be enough for even the fastest
readers
out there.
I do wish they would have used some sort of gesture to control playback.
Right now I'm having to swipe to find playback controls then
double-tap, but
I've not experimented or read any help file to know if gesture control is
possible or not. <Smile>.
I think most of you are really, really gonna love this app as it seems
very
intuitive.
Think hard about the first book you will be reading as this will be a
memorable experience so make sure it's a good one!
