I use the right hand VO key (3rd from the left on the bottom). To remove an app from the app switcher, go to the switcher with VO and H twice quickly. then arrow to the app you want to remove and hit the right VO key and the down arrow.
For the control center and the notification center, I use the VO M command and use the right hand VO hey and up arrow to get to the control center and the right VO key and the up arrow to go to the notification area.
