Hi List, So after reading lots of posts on here I finally took the plunge and updated. Unfortunately the update did not go very smoothly over the air resulting in a bricked IPhone. Thankfully updating ITunes followed by a restore solved this issue though I was wondering if this was a sign of things to come.
Luckily I can say the update to IOS 7 has been a very positive experience so far on my IPhone 5. If anything I feel many of the features such as typing are faster on the IPhone and it actually seems snappier which was a surprise. I haven't had too many problems with screen sensitivity. I have to say the bug when selecting multiple email messages wehre it says selected on the next message when you flick right is a bit irritating though. I wasn't that excited by a lot of the new features announced for IOS 7 but have been surprised how much I like many of them. The new app switcher is lovely to use and siri is massively improved. I also think I might use dictation more now you can just tap with two fingers once in an edit field. I've had a bit of a play with the handwriting mode feature but need to learn more letters first. It'd be great if there was a tutorial or description somewhere of how to do different letters for people who have never really learnt handwriting. I'm looking forward to Itunes Radio coming to the UK as well as hopefully different siri voices. For anyone still toying with the idea of updating I can understand why you are hesitant. All I can suggest is to read other people's views and then make a decision. However, from my experience IOS 7 hasn't been as bad as I thought it might be and there are a lot of surprisingly useful features which I think will make using my IPhone an easier and more pleasant experience.
