Hi Jen, Have you closed all apps in the app switcher and rebooted your phone by turning it off completely and back on after about 30 seconds? If not try this and, if you like, send me a message to [email protected] and let me know if this made a difference as far as reading through your list of messages.
As for the action rotor, keep in mind that "Actions" is only a choice in the rotor whenever it is supported. Examples of this would be your list of text messages, your mailboxes in the mail app, the Favorites or Recent Call list in the Phone app, your list of books or parts of books in the Audible app, in Downcast with Podcasts, episodes and in the download window etc. If, for example, you are on the home screen or in the Settings app or in Contacts, Actions is not an option hence it does not appear on the rotor. For the most part the rotor turns to actions automatically if you open an app or get into a screen where it is an option so there actually isn't very much need to go there manually. One exception might be if you are in your Inbox and maybe you want to review the spelling of somebody's name. Here you would have to manually turn the rotor from Actions to Characters, then use the swipe down gesture to read the name letter by letter and then you probably would want to turn the rotor back to options in case you want to continue deleting emails from the list.
