This is not totally correct. In any edit field, there is a dictate button just 
left of the space bar. You can double-tap this, and get the same results. Tap 
twice quickly on the screen with two fingers of the same time to stop 
dictation. This gesture is known as a two-finger double-tap. Alternatively, you 
can start dictation the same way you stop dictation, by using a two-finger 
double-tap.
