Denise,

Both of these were mentioned/discussed, here the short version:

On the Phone keypad there is no Delete button until you type the first
number. At that point the delete button is to the right of the text field
where your number is, it is als right above the 3 on the keypad and it is a
touch typing button so if you use touch typing, touching Delete and lifting
your finger will delete the last number.

When you enter text in, say a text message, touching the text field will now
put your cursor where you are touching. This is different behavior as in iOS
6. I haven't decided yet if Apple intends it this way or not, but I will
write to Apple Accessibility and ask for clarification, once I have it, I'll
post the answer on the list. Make sure you watch for topics like "New
behavior in text/edit fields in iOS 7" or something along these lines.
For now you just have to make sure you double tap with one finger in the
text field to make sure your cursor is at the end if that is where you want
it to be. If you want Voiceover to read the entire message than touching
outside the edit field and swiping to it will do this. E.g. for a text
message, you could touch the Send button, then swipe left.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: deleting numbers in keypad of phone app

Hi all,
I have a couple of questions.
1. I have incorrectly entered the wrong numbers on the keypad while trying
to dial a number. I hear something that says delete but no delete button. So
how do I delete these numbers?

Also, I noticed while writing a text message and trying to insert text, my
cursor did not always end up where I wanted it. I never had this issue in
IOS 6. It has happened a few times in 7. thanks for any suggestions.
