I just contacted Verizon's automated system using the iPhone 5S.  One can now 
hear the numbers spoken clearly when accessing the automated menu system.  I'm 
hopeful this means that a headset will no longer be required to deal with these 
systems.  If that's the case, then this is a major step forward.  I can 
understand the numbers as well as I can when making an actual call.
