Hi Patti, Their is a free version and paid version of TuneIn Radio. The main differences that my husband and I see so far are no ads of course, and the ability to record from any station you are listening to. It only costs $4.99 I believe to purchase the pro version. Chris likes TuneIn all around because their is such a huge variety of things you can listen to on there. I like both TuneIn and IHeart Radio myself...and several other music apps as well. I hope this cleared up some of your confusion.
