If you do everything they recommend on that list you give up 80% of the iPhone's functionality. I can easily get through my day with 3 emails accounts set to push, with SIRI, WiFi and Bluetooth on and with location services on for those apps where they are needed. What good is SIRI to me if I have to turn it on each time I want to send a quick reply to a text message or tell it to set a reminder. Yes, these suggestions save battery, but in the same way walking will make your car use less gas. That is just my opinion, others maybe don't mind to constantly turn features on and off, I rather charge my phone every evening and have its full potential at my fingertips and, if necessary I use my external battery to charge it in between which really only ever happens if I need to use GPS a lot.
