I would assume that your friend would be able to get any book you are able to download from BARD from his local NLS library. The only difference is that he would receive it on a cartridge in which he would have to play on a NLS digital player.

On the fact that you were able to download the book through the BARDapp and you are not able to find the book on the site on your computer. I am assuming that you were accessing the BARD site on your computer. Well, you are actually accessing the BARD site through the app just like you are on your computer. It is all the same site. You are just using an Internet browser built into the BARD app. I am not sure why you would not be able to get it to come up.

I would be happy to also search the site for you in search for the book through the BARD web site on my computer. Just send me a message off list if you would like for me to help at [email protected]

Chris Chaffin

That is probably true and I did tell him to ask the library for the book.
I hope he can get it that way because I know he would enjoy the book,
and I would check to see if I could share it before I did it.
I hope he can get the book from the library.
It would be a shame if he can't and I had access to it and he didn't.
Not quite fair. He has no money for an idevice, nor really the skills
or good enough computer skills. Besides, he truly doesn't read all that
much, but this particular book is on a subject I do know that he is most
interested in.

That is odd, however are you sure that you could have shared the book
with your friend? I think this may violate the usage of BARD. Have you
checked with your regional library to see? I would do this before
downloading books for other people to use. Besides, how would you play
a book on the computer anyway, since there is no accompanying
application for the PC/Mac.

I found a book on the app, but didn't download it, but I know some one

put it on an sd card for him.
I went up on the website on my PC and the book is no where to be found,
yet it's listed on the app.
I have searched title and author, and have gone through the list on the
computer two or three times, that book just isn't there.
How can it be on the app but not on the computer?
Weird.
