I'm 65 years old and have been in the library reading service sense I was
around 8 so I've read a few books! <grin> And, sense you seem to know what
I know, I'd take a guess you've read more then a few books yourself.
I was planning on getting a Victor Reader Stream 2 as my Victor Reader
Stream 1 is getting pretty old. So far, all it's keys work but a few just
work. Humanware wants something like 379 USD for it. The free bard app has
saved me from having to shell out that kind of money so now I can put that
in a new iPhone. We've been sick around our house passing around what seems
to be a cold so haven't felt like going down to the AT&T store yet. I'm
down to only 3.2 GB left in free space on my iPhone 4 32 GB iPhone. Maybe
when I get the 5s, I better get the 64 GB version. More room for books you
see.

As far as I know, BARD or Braille and Audio Reading Downloads a national
program by the federal government of the United States of America for US
citizens. I know Canada has their own reading service for the blind and
the UK has theirs. I do remember reading somewhere that they all have a
lose association with each other and in the past, they have lent books
out. I remember getting a book on music from Canada on loan. My guess
is as books world wide go more and more digital, arrangements will be
made to avoid redundancy if nothing else and of course language. If you
can't understand the language, it's pointless to borrow the book
regardless of it's format.

How can non-US citizens become members and use the Bard application?
Any ideas? Thank you!
