Its right on the front of the case. In previous models the home button was covered by a rubber button attached to the rest of the case. But on the 5s, this is not there. The home button is completely uncovered so you can use the finger print reader, and works flawlessly at least for me. My wife and kids cannot pick up my phone and use it, since my thumb print is the only one I have saved on it.
