I’m writing an article for Blind Bargains on how folks can get into an iPhone and cell plan on the cheap, paying a third or less of what everyone else pays. This includes voice telephone service. I have found a handful of free apps that are usable with VoiceOver that offer free calls using the iPhone’s data connection to any telephone in the United States or Canada. The trouble is I am not sure of their call quality and if it is acceptable. I would like to call a few folks with these apps and with a regular cell phone connection to learn the call quality of these aps. I have a policy of only mentioning devices or services that I or others I trust have used successfully. Yet, calling apps require a two party connection. If anyone is interested in helping me with this project, please e-mail me privately at [email protected] I will appreciate greatly any support for this effort. I am confident the end product will be highly informative and money saving for everyone.
