I listen to talk radio every day on ooTunes.
I have an old 3GS that streams using my wireless router.
The 3GS NEVER drops the stream. I have forgotten about stopping it on
occasion, and it will record for over 12 hours without dropping the stream.
With my iPhone5, ooTunes drops the stream about every 3 minutes or so.
When I set it to stream from WiFi only, it might hold the stream for a
little longer, but it drops a lot.
When I am in the car, and the stream is coming only from a cell tower, it
can hold the stream a very long time (over an hour).
I have emailed ooTunes, called Apple support, my router tech service. No
help.
My conclusion: It is a combination of the iPhone5 hardware and wireless
router.
So, at home I use the 3GS.
