Do you also, for example, have a laptop which is connected to the same WiFi and can you get online with it? If your phone shows you are connected to a WiFi in the status bar, but you can download apps or get email this usually means something is wrong with your WiFi as in it may not have an Internet connection to the ouside. I would start by unplugging your router's power cable, give it 10 or 20 seconds and then plug it back in to reboot it. Depending on your router it can take 3 or 4 minutes before the router has rebooted and your devices have reacquired the signal. If that doesn't work, double tap on the More Info button to the right of your WiFi connection in Settings, WiFi and then "Forget" the network, that button is I think at the top somewhere. Now go back to your list of WiFi networks, double tap on your WiFi, enter the correct password and reconnect to it, maybe this will fix it.
