I'm not sure how to answer your first question. If you bring up BARD,
you can go into the Get Books tab, which is the second tab across the
bottom. Here you can bring up your wish list, the recently added books
list or you can browse the BARD web site. I think if you want to search
for a particular book then you'd want to use the browse BARD option.
Here you can enter a search term, browse by author, title or subject and
so on. Once you find the book you want, you can add it to your wish
list. Now you can go back to your wish list and download that book.
To delete a book, go into your book shelf and double tap the edit button
on the top. Now you can toggle the delete switch for a book to on and
then double tap it's delete button. A very detailed example of this was
just posted to the list yesterday.
