I have an iPhone 4, and I also didn't notice the sensitivity issue on my iPhone with iOs 7. I evidently use my gestures similar to the way you do, so I wouldn't worry about it. As someone said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I don't doubt those who had the issue, I just never noticed it.
