Ed,
As others pointed out, you first have to check in Settings and iTunes and App Stores whether you have Automatic Updates turned on. If it is, then if an update is available it will download and install automatically. If you go to the App Store and tap on the Updates tab at the bottom right you have dates which are headings and under each date it will show you apps which were updated that day. I think a lot of people especially Voiceover users prefer to turn automatic updating off because if you leave it on you might end up getting updates for an app where accessibility was broken in an update and then it's only possible to go back if you keep a copy of the previous app version on the computer, you could then delete the updated app from the phone and resync the previous version. If you turn automatic updates off, the App Store icon should show a number, e.g. 1 or 2 or whatever the number of updates is you have available. Then if you swipe right after each app is a Download/install button. I went out to the site for the app and they have done a fix for the app to launch in IOS 7. How do I update the app?
