Sieghard, Thanks, this is helpful. If one follows the directions to The Recycle bin, does this remove the app from being listed in the Purchased Apps when looking at the App Store on the Updates tab? I undersand nothing gets rid of once purchased apps from the App Store Purchased Apps, but checking to confirm that or not given this discussion.
Many thanks. If, in turn, you go into the Mobile Applications folder and simply delete the apps using Windows the entry for said app is not deleted from your iTunes library and will result in a broken link. If you press Delete on an app in the app library (I find checking the "List" radio button is easiest to go through your list of apps, you first get the following alert: iTunes Are you sure you want to delete the selected app from your iTunes library? This app will not be deleted from any iOS device that synchronizes with your iTunes library. Do not ask me again (this is a checkbox so you could check this if you don't want that message each time) Delete App Cancel (these are your 2 buttons you can press. If you choose "Delete App", you then get this prompt: iTunes Do you want to move the selected app to the Recycle Bin, or keep it in the Mobile Applications folder? Only files in the Mobile Applications folder will be moved to the Recycle Bin. Cancel Move to Recycle Bin Keep Files This is the same prompt you get when you try to delete a song and some people find it misleading. It asks if you want to move the selected app to the recycle bin or keep it in the Mobile Applications folder (or music folder in the case of a song). Then it tells you only apps in the Mobile Applications folder will be moved to the Recycle Bin. Basically what this means is that if an app is not in the mobile applications folder, you can delete it but it won't be moved to the recycle bin. With apps this may not happen as often because typically you would have themin the mobile applications folder. However, let's assume it's music in which case the prompt would say: Do you want to move the selected song to the Recycle Bin, or keep it in the iTunes Media folder? Only files in the iTunes Media folder will be moved to the Recycle Bin. If you used the "File" and "Add Folder to Library" option to point iTunes to a particular folder on your hard drive or even an external drive and added these songs to your library, then deleting them from the library would not move them to the Recycle Bin, they would remain in wwhatever folder or on whatever drive they are. Only if the song is in a subfolder in the iTunes Media folder you can not just delete it from the library list in iTunes, but also move it to the recycle bin. Say "Move to Recycle Bin" if you want to delete the app or song completely, say "Kepp Files" if you want it gone from the listing in iTunes but if you want to leave it physically in the folder. Hopefully this makes sense. I have a number of apps that I downloaded that I am either no longer interested in using or they aren't accessible with voice over. How do I remove them from Itunes on my PC? I have the latest version of Itunes and JAWS 14. Thank you in advance, Lynda -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
