Andrew, I can assure you that text messages are able to be read and heard. Make
certain you go into the text area from the top of the screen carefully so that
Vo doesn't read only what you touch. Sieghard, David, others would you please
expand a bit on this as it could help me too? This would be used if you miss a
message. VO will read as soon as text arrives if you set it in sounds. They are
read fully when you hear the sound whatever sound you set. I was a newby once,
and sometimes frustrated, but ask any questions, none stupid since you don't
know. These are very good people here, couldn't have learned much without them.
They never laughed at my non-techie and simple questions, and I did not laugh
at yours. (smiley) Have a great time with your new and wonderful 5 can!!

Subject: Text messages and voice messages on iPhone

Listers,

With trepidation, I'm finally getting an iphone 5C.

At this stage, I am as green as can be, although I've followed discussions on
this group for a good while.

Initially, could you reassure me that reading text messages others send me on
the ipHOne and listening to voice messages is a piece of cake?

Anything to reassure me would really take the jitters out of the situation. I
know you will laugh.

Andrew
