OCR with an iThing is as much an intuitive process as an exact method, and there are lots of factors that can go into good recognition. Make sure you have good light and be careful not to block it. It helps to hold the device at the same angle as the display or other object you’re trying to read. It takes trial and error, and sometimes, because of display darkness or other factors, it just doesn’t work well.
