Hi Ricardo,

I agree that it is cool, but I also believe that if wireless charging of a
battery with the capacity of that of the iPhone was so advanced that Apple
would have implemented it. This is exactly the kind of stuff Apple likes and
while wireless charging has been around a long time (I had a Panasonic razor
almost 15 years ago which you just stood in a cradle to charge it with no
connection between the charging cradle and the razor) it is not widely
adopted. As far as I know wireless charging is very slow and while this
might be OK over night, I think it's not an option if your phone is a 21%
and you need to run out in half an hour. If I plug my iPhone into an AC
adapter for half an hour it probably charges from 21% to etween 50 and 60%
and I doubt the wireless charger could do that.
I would never buy an accessory which required me to have some gadget plugged
into the lightning connector, chances are it's not something you would leave
plugged in if you go out as even if it was small it still would stick out. I
rather spend a few bucks and get 2 or 3 cables or for $10 I can get an
actual AC adapter with Lightning connector from Monoprice.com.
I bought two 10 foot Lightning cables and one of these adapters from
Monoprice for a total investment of about $32 + I have the original 3 foot
cable which I use on my computer or if I want to have a cable to use with my
external battery.
I bet these wireless charging cradles, mats or cushions cost a lot more and
I would still want at least 3, one at my office, one in my bedroom and 1 in
my living room. At this point I find this clearly is in the gadget category.

Regards,
Sieghard

Yeah but, you would just leave this plugged in all the time. I mean for me,
I would have no reason to unplug it since I don't sync with my iTunes at
all. I think just putting your phone down on your desk to charge your
device is pretty cool.
