Hi Paula and Babe! :)

First off, thanks so much for your kind words. It really means a lot!

As for the processes you are seeing, I'm not sure which assistant that is but
Backboard is basically a helper app to your home screen. the home screen is
called SpringBoard and Backboard helps filter events for it, like touches and
such.

So if you see these processes in your crash logs, these are related to your
home screen that you see on your device.

Have a great evening and talk soon!

Smiles,

Cara :)

Hi Cara. Interesting information about crashes. I decided to go in and have a
look. Now I just have a curiosity question. I see the words assistant and the
word backboard in the list of crashes. Both with underscores after them. Just
wondering what those are? Not a big deal. Just curious as I said before.
Thanks for all you do for this list.
God bless!
Paula and Babe

Subject: iDevice crash logs -was- Re: when doing a search in app store ios goes
back to the home screen

this sounds like a crash.

I was seeing this with the iTunes Store really frequently a couple of weeks ago.

Actually, quite a few Apple apps and services crash on a daily basis in iOS 7.

If you'd like to confirm this:

• Open Settings

• Open General

• Open About

• Open Diagnostics and Usage

• tap the Diagnostic and Usage Data button

In this screen you will see all of the crash logs for every app / process that
crashes on your device. In order to see the Apple processes, you will need to
make sure that you've chosen not to send data to Apple. This way the crash logs
will not be deleted from your device as they are sent.

to make sure that data is not being sent to Apple:

• Back out of the current screen

• Tap the Don't Send choice above where it says help Apple improve its products
and services by automatically sending daily diagnostic and usage data etc.

Once you do this, whenever there is a crash from an Apple app / process, you
will see a log entry for that crash. If you want, you may even open that log to
see what is inside.

Hope this helps.

Smiles,

Cara :)

Hi

When I go into the app store and enter my search info then do a double tap on
search button my IPad goes back to the home screen. I can open the app store
and do this again and when I hit the search button it goes back to the home
screen. My IPad has done this numerous times. I turned it off and tried it
again and it does the same thing. Has anyone had this happen using IOS 7.0.3?

Ed.
