It will run just fine. The question is: bootcamp or a virtual machine? VMs are 
nice because they can runs long side OS10, meaning you can literally switch to 
Windows like switching to any other application on the Mac. You also don't need 
to reboot just to get Windows, you can start it or shut it down whenever. 
However, VMs need resources, so they take ram and processing power. On powerful 
machines this is not a problem, but if your Air has only 2gb of ram then you 
might not find this a good fit.

Your other option is Bootcamp, which lets you put Windows on a separate 
partition on your hard drive and run it from there. You need to reboot to 
switch operating systems, but Windows will not be sharing resources so it will 
run more normally.
